微软的70-292考试（在Windows 2000 MCSA的基础上，管理和维护一个微软Windows
Server 2003 Server环境）是由MCSA2000微软认证管理员）升级到MCSA2003（微软认证管理员）的唯一考试，也是从MCSE
2000升级到MCSE 2003的两门考试之一，这门考试是为在大公司里从事典型的复杂的中型的运算环境工作的IT专业人士设计的。这门考试的费用是125美金，可以从Pearson
Vue或Thomson Prometric获得考试机会。“通过考试者和考试失败者都可以参加70-292和70-296的考试，因为这两门考试是组合来考的，而不是单独来考”-微软考试和测试常见问题解答中心。需要注意的是微软没有公开说明详细的考试形式（微软的考试可能包括适应性的测试和模拟题，微软没有确定现行各门考试的形式）
